ISGI Seminar: Four short stories of development and management... and what they tell us about technocracy
Talk by Nidhi Srinivas (Associate Professor of Nonprofit Management, The New School, New York; currently Visiting Professor, Institute for the Study of Global Issues, Hitotsubashi University)
This presentation discusses four historical moments in international development and management. The four moments offer an opportunity for reflecting on the technocratic idealism within both these disciplines, and to draw implications for development practice, managerial practice and non-governmental organizations.
